Special To The State

The South Carolina women’s basketball team will end its regular season with one more sellout.

The Gamecocks (27-0, 14-0 SEC) will face Georgia in front of a sold-out crowd on Feb. 26, which is also its senior day. It’s the ninth sellout in team history, all of which have occurred under coach Dawn Staley. It also marks the sixth sellout against an SEC opponent.

The team features seven seniors in total. Five are from the recruiting class of 2019 — Aliyah Boston, Zia Cooke, Brea Beal, Laeticia Amihere and Olivia Thompson.

Victaria Saxton is in her fifth year this season after joining the team in 2018. Kierra Fletcher is using her last year of eligibility as a graduate transfer, spending her first four seasons with Georgia Tech.

This is the second sellout of the year for the Gamecocks. The first came in its Feb. 12 game against then-No. 3 LSU, an undefeated team at the time.

The USC-Georgia game will air on ESPN2.
